(Ljubljana, 22 March 2023) At this year's Medis Awards, three MedUni Vienna researchers - Christian Lang, Peter Mandl and Christian Reiterer - where honoured. The International Medis Awards for Medical Research is an annual international event organised by Medis Medical Imaging Systems.

Three of the awards in nine departments were presented to MedUni Vienna researchers:

Christian Lang

The International Medis Awards for Medical Research is an annual international contest for medical doctors and pharmacists who have published medical research in a specific medical field in a highly ranked scientific publication and are daily actively involved in clinical practice in institutions throughout the region. The award ceremonies take place every year in a different host country.

The finalists of the 9th International Medis Awards came from six countries. The International Scientific Committee assessed 185 scientific research publications from nine countries and selected the 18 finalists. Awarded categories are: Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Pharmacy, Pulmonology and Allergology and Rheumatology
