(Vienna, 3 June 2026) MedUni Vienna has once again been awarded the equalitA seal of approval by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism in 2026 for its outstanding commitment to the internal advancement of women.

equalitA is an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism. It recognises companies and organisations that promote women within their organisations, ensure gender equality within the workplace, and support and raise the profile of women’s careers. This commitment ranges from recruitment, through leave and maternity/paternity leave management, language and corporate culture, and staff development, to various measures implemented to promote women within the organisation; e.g. by addressing all genders in job advertisements, actively supporting the careers of female employees through mentoring and women’s networks, ensuring balanced and non-gender-stereotypical representation of genders in visual language and public image, implementing plans to promote women, and much more. The commitment of these organisations is recognised with the equalitA seal of approval. MedUni Vienna was already awarded the seal of approval for the promotion of women within the organisation in 2022. The "equalitA 2026" award is then valid for a further three years.
