(Vienna, 29 November 2019) The new standard work "Clinical Neuroradiology" covers all aspects of neuroradiology and is the official European Society of Neuroradiology course book for the European Diploma in Neuroradiology (EDiNR). Majda Thurnher from MedUni Vienna's Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy is acting as co-editor.

This illustrated course book provides a detailed explanation of the clinical importance of neuroradiology as a supplement to medical history and physical examination of patients with suspected neurological, neurosurgical or psychiatric disorders. The role of brain and spinal-cord imaging is described over the entire range of relevant conditions, such as cerebrovascular conditions, traumas, cerebrospinal fluid disorders, developmental disorders, autoimmune diseases, epilepsy, tumours and tumour-like conditions, neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic conditions and bipolar and depressive disorders.

The three-volume standard work has been written by leading European neuroradiologists and these authors will continuously update their respective chapters in the online version via a dynamic peer-review process. ESNR members have free access to it.

It is the European Society of Neuroradiology course book for the European Course in Neuroradiology (ECNR), which, following a comprehensive examination, leads to the European Diploma in Neuroradiology, (EDiNR).
