The University Management Service options are a service Unit in the rector's office of the MedUni Vienna, which processes the entire office management of the rector's team.
Those administrative and assistance services required by the rector and vice-rector for managing the Medical University of Vienna are provided in it. In addition, the University Management Service handles concern which are important for the entire university, such as support of the university board, senate and the common ethics commission of the Medical University and Vienna General Hospital.
The assumption for granting the professional title of “University professor” are requirements fixed by the decision of the Council of Ministers of 07 November 2007, specified by the guidelines of the Vienna Medical University.
The guidelines aim to grant all university lecturers assigned to the Vienna Medical University equally good opportunities to achieve the title of “University professor” despite their different tasks (in theoretical natural science or experimental medical institutes or as leader of other medical institutions, etc.). Granting the professional title should only be extended to outstanding representatives of their professions, where no legal claim by the bm:wf however exists. Special achievements in independent research whose results were published in original works, special achievements in the field of scientific research and training, implementation of scientific findings in practice and scientific activities exercised due to national and international scientific recognition which can be provided and ascribed after the qualification.
Note:
Submission can be made only after completion of 45 years of age and five years after qualification.
