Expected starting date:  as of 16/3/2026, until 5/7/2026 (with option to extend)

Salary: The gross salary for 40 hours per week is currently Euro 3.776,-- (14x per year) and can possibly be increased on the basis of the collective agreement regulations through the crediting of job-specific previous experience and other remuneration components associated with the special features of the job.

 

Your Role

As part of our interdisciplinary research team, you will:

  • Contribute to the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical and translational research studies
  • Work with large, longitudinal, and multidimensional datasets (clinical, imaging, biomarker, registry data)
  • Apply and further develop modern statistical methods, including:
  • longitudinal and survival analyses
  • multivariable modeling
  • clustering and network-based approaches (training possible)
  • Collaborate closely with clinicians, researchers, and international partners
  • Co-author scientific publications and contribute to grant applications
  • Gradually take on responsibility in supervising students or junior staff (depending on experience)

You will receive structured mentorship, strong support for scientific development, and opportunities to shape your own research focus over time.

Who we’re looking for

We welcome applications from recent Master's graduates or early-career researchers who:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, (Pharmaco-)Epidemiology, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Have experience with statistical programming (e.g. R, Python, SAS, or similar)
  • Are curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a medical research environment
  • Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Have strong analytical thinking and good scientific communication skills
  • Prior exposure to medical data, longitudinal analyses, or machine learning methods is a plus - not a requirement

A first scientific publication or experience with academic writing is advantageous, but high motivation and solid methodological foundations matter most.
