Fetal heart failure can occur, for example, in the context of fetal anaemia, maternal hyperthyroidism or also in the context of fetofetal transfusion syndrome.

The extent of foetal heart failure can be assessed using the Cardio-vascular Profile Score. Here, too, there may be the possibility of transplant centred therapy by the mother.
