Clinical traineeships and clinical internship year

Clinical traineeships

We warmly welcome trainees to the Clinical Department of Pediatric Cardiology. In addition to general pediatric knowledge, a wide range of congenital and acquired heart defects as well as cardiac arrhythmias can be acquired during a clinical traineeship at our department. We attach great importance to involving students in everyday clinical practice and acquiring practical knowledge in the clinical assessment of children and adolescents with heart defects. In addition, essential cardiac diagnostics (ECG, echocardiography, cross-sectional imaging, cardiac catheterization) and therapy should also be taught.

Further information, including the application form, can be found here.

CPY - Clinical Practical Year

Thank you for your interest in a CPY position at the Clinical Department of Pediatric Cardiology. CPY students in our department are given the opportunity to deepen the knowledge, skills and medical attitudes acquired during their medical studies and to acquire increasing competence in evidence-based medical practice under supervision.

CPY positions at our department require native or near-native German language proficiency, as patient care and teaching are conducted in German.

For further information regarding CPY, including the application process, please visit the KPJ webpage of the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine here.
