Admission requirements - MSc (CE) and Academic Expert
(1) The prerequisite for admission to the university course is proof of
a) a completed Bachelor's degree programme or another completed degree programme of at least the same higher education level at a recognised domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution to the extent of at least 180 ECTS in one of the following disciplines:
- Human medicine
- Dentistry
- Psychology
- Nursing sciences
- Pharmacy
- Psychotherapy
- Health Sciences/Health Studies
and
b) at least 2 years of relevant professional experience with at least 50% employment in one or more of the following fields:
- human medicine or dentistry
- in the higher service for health and nursing care
- in the higher medical-technical service (MTD) in related professions
- in the healthcare sector (e.g. midwives)
The term ‘relevant’ refers to professional activities that focus on healthcare in the broader sense.
(2) Applicants must provide proof of the English language skills required for successful completion of the degree programme at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages either by means of internationally recognised language certificates/diplomas or diplomas (e.g. school-leaving certificate based on instruction in this language, completion of a degree programme in the language of instruction in question) or as part of a review by the academic course director. Proof may be waived if the language of instruction is the applicant's first language.
(3) Furthermore, computer skills are required that enable the problem-free use of a teaching and learning platform as well as the use of literature databases.
(4) A curriculum vitae must be enclosed with the application for admission.
(5) The academic programme director shall assess the suitability of applicants on the basis of the documents submitted and, if necessary, a personal interview.
(6) Admission is only possible before the start of the university course. The academic course director shall determine the maximum number of participants per university course, taking into account the number of study places available from a pedagogical and organisational point of view and in accordance with the budget plan.
(7) Exceptional cases for admission after the start of the university course may only be approved by the curriculum director following a proposal by the academic course director, provided that proof of completion of equivalent teaching and learning content can be provided.
(8) In accordance with § 70 para. 1 in conjunction with § 51 para. 2 no. 22 UG, participants must apply for admission to the university course as non-degree students. The Rectorate shall decide on the admission of course participants on the recommendation of the academic course director in accordance with the number of available study places and the qualifications of the applicants.
