Over the last years, Antibody-mediated rejection has increasingly gained importance due to its high morbidity and mortality. Exact pathogenic process is largely unknown. The major contribution to our current understanding and therapeutic strategy derive from different disciplines. Therefore, a multidisciplinary approach is of paramount importance to tackle the several questions which remain unresolved.
The Vienna Multidisciplinary Symposium on humoral immunity after lung transplantation offers a whole overview on this topic for the first time. Top-leading scientists and transplant physicians are invited to elaborate different area and perspectives of this threatening complication after lung transplantation. Finally, inclusion of a multidisciplinary faculty allows a holistic approach for interesting discussions.
Participation will be limited to a total of 50 persons and acceptance will be based on a first come first serve basis.
