Barbara Bodner-Adler elected first chairperson of the AUB

(Vienna, 24 November 2022) At this year's congress of the Austrian Working Group for Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Floor Surgery (AUB) in Vienna, Barbara Bodner-Adler from the Medical University of Vienna's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Division of General Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology) was elected to be its first chairperson. Bodner-Adler's term of office will run from 2022 to 2024.

 

The Austrian Working Group for Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Floor Surgery (AUB) (www.urogyn.at) is an innovative, Austria-wide working group that advocates for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and focuses on evidence-based guidelines and targeted science. Urogynaecology has been a focus in the specialist fields of gynaecology and obstetrics for many years, with the AUB being particularly concerned with clinical, scientific, and organisational matters relating to urogynaecology and pelvic floor surgery.

About Barbara Bodner-Adler
Barbara Bodner-Adler is a gynaecologist at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Medical University of Vienna. She also completed two years of specialist training in urogynaecology and pelvic floor surgery in a "Clinical and Research Fellowship Program in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic floor surgery" according to the criteria of the European Urogynaecological Association (EUGA).

Since 2019, she has headed up the outpatient clinic for urogynaecology and pelvic floor surgery at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Vienna. The focus of her research work, which has given rise to numerous publications, is pelvic floor dysfunction. Bodner-Adler has many publications and international lectures to her name, for which she was also awarded the professional title of university professor.
