About THE ranking
THE University Ranking is based on 13 indicators from the areas of research, teaching, citations, internationalisation and the acquisition of third-party funding from industry. The two most important factors are, on the one hand, the survey of around 40,000 academics on the topics of teaching and research and, on the other hand, bibliometric indicators such as publications and citations - they each contribute around one third to the overall result.
