Vienna (17 June 2025) More than 500 scientists from six universities, a university of applied sciences and a company are offering more than 350 courses for around 4,000 children aged 7 to 12 – that's the formula for KinderuniWien 2025. From 7 to 18 July, children can once again attend workshops, seminars and lectures at all participating universities: the University of Vienna, TU Vienna, BOKU Vienna, WU Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and FH Campus Vienna – and, of course, MedUni Vienna!
At the University of Vienna, an opening lecture by top researcher Markus Aspelmeyer will be dedicated to quantum physics. The programme also includes highlights such as ‘The Green Wonder World’ at BOKU Vienna, ‘Excursion to Arguments and Logic’ at FH Campus Vienna, ‘Sustainable Living’ at TU Vienna, ‘Wild Animals in the City’ at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and ‘What is a Loan?’ at WU Vienna. At the Medical University of Vienna, children can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of medicine at a total of 73 events between 14 and 18 July.
In addition to science, this year's programme also offers an opportunity to explore the world of business. BAWAG board members Anas Abuzaakouk and Enver Sirucic will be spending a day in the lecture hall to provide first-hand financial education. For the first time this year, they will be bringing a gift from BAWAG for all children and scientists: the popular Children's University T-shirt!
