(Vienna, 26 November 2025) Today and tomorrow, around 640 graduates of MedUni Vienna will take their academic oath in the presence of their families, friends and acquaintances. Rector Markus Müller and Vice-Rectors Anita Rieder, Michaela Fritz and Volkan Talazoglu will present the graduation certificates during the celebrations. In the 2024/25 academic year, a total of 770 future doctors and dentists successfully completed their studies at MedUni Vienna.
Around 90 of the 169 PhD graduates will also receive their certificates at this event.
The ceremony is taking place for the 13th time this year – around four weeks before Christmas and in the festive atmosphere of the Vienna Konzerthaus. A total of around 8,000 guests are expected at the internationally renowned concert venue.
Around 8,000 students are currently enrolled at MedUni Vienna, the majority of whom are studying for a degree in human medicine or dentistry. The success rate is high: 95% of students successfully complete their studies.
The next step for the graduates is now to begin specialist or internship training in a hospital or teaching practice, or to embark on a scientific degree course.
