(Vienna, 27 November 2025) Shahrokh Shariat, head of the University Clinic for Urology at MedUni Vienna, has been awarded the Golden Medal of Honour by the Vienna Medical Association. The award recognises his outstanding services to medical science and his many years of commitment to the medical community.
Through his scientific work and clinical activities, Shariat has made a significant mark on urology at MedUni Vienna, both nationally and internationally. His research contributes significantly to the further development of uro-oncological care and translational medicine.
The Golden Medal of Honour of the Vienna Medical Association is one of the highest awards given to particularly deserving doctors. This honour recognises Shariat's contribution to strengthening Vienna as a medical location and to the international reputation of MedUni Vienna.
