Matthias Preusser receives EANO Mentorship Award 2025

(Prague, Vienna, 17 October 2025) Matthias Preusser, Head of the Clinical Division of Oncology at MedUni Vienna's Department of Medicine I, has been awarded the EANO Mentorship Award 2025. With this award, the European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO) recognises outstanding commitment to mentoring and promoting young scientists in the field of neuro-oncology.

The winners are selected by the EANO Youngsters Committee and confirmed by the EANO Executive Board. The award was presented during the opening ceremony of the EANO Annual Meeting 2025 in Prague.

The EANO Mentorship Award highlights the central importance of mentoring for the development of young scientists and doctors. The EANO Mentorship Programme brings together experienced experts and young researchers over the course of a year to develop projects, publications or grant applications and to support scientific career planning.

The award recognises Matthias Preusser's long-standing and dedicated work in training and promoting young scientists in oncology and neuro-oncology at European level.
