(Vienna, 06 April 2022) In the recently published and highly regarded "QS World University Ranking by Subject", the Medical University of Vienna has made a significant leap forward in the "Medicine" category. Austria's largest medical university climbed by 11 places compared to last year (77th) and is now ranked 66th.
This places MedUni Vienna roughly ahead of Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin (68th). After MedUni Vienna, the medical universities of Graz and Innsbruck (201st-250th) were ranked as the best universities in Austria.
The QS ranking is based on citation frequency and a survey of over 130,000 academics and 75,000 employers from around the world about a university's academic reputation and the employability of its graduates. A total of 51 specialist categories are evaluated. Harvard University leads the field, followed by Oxford University and Stanford University.
