It is our pleasure and privilege to announce the Symposium for Infection and Biological Replacement Strategies in Vascular Surgery. The ongoing rise in usage of endovascular and vascular grafts is leading to an increment of infectious cases. Clinicians are increasingly confronted with difficult decisions regarding therapy and graft replacement in these patients given that literature is lacking randomised trials.Biological replacement is widely recommended in infectious circumstances, but treatment options are variable.
Carefully selected speakers will report experiences and strategies with different modalities in septic conditions.Different aspects of strategies and experiences will be reviewed and discussed. Together we aim to foster national and international collaboration and coordination of clinical studies.
