Vienna Children’s University with 470 courses during the Summer holidays

(Vienna, 13 June 2016) The 14th Vienna Children's University will take place between 11 – 24 July 2016 and, once again, will introduce 4,500 children to science and research at six universities and one polytechnic. At the KinderuniMedizin events organized by MedUni Vienna, the keynote event, "The Miracle of Man", will reveal some of the secrets of medicine. Online registration starts at 5 pm on 13 June and for those who would rather register in person, registration desks will be open in the Children's Office of Vienna University (Lammgasse 8, 1080 Vienna) and on the A1 Internet for All Campus (Engerthstraße 169, 1020 Vienna) from 14 June onwards.

It all starts happening at 5 pm on 13 June: this is when you can start to register knowledge-thirsty children online at www.kinderuni.at, for their own personal KinderuniWien programme. For all those who would rather register in person, registration desks will be open in the Children's Office of Vienna University (Lammgasse 8, 1080 Vienna) and on the A1 Internet for All Campus (Engerthstraße 169, 1020 Vienna) from 14 June onwards. Registration for KinderuniWien will be open up to and including 7 July.

Varied programme for 28,126 attendees
The programme then kicks off on 11 July with lots of science, research and no end of questions. With its 470 classes, 28,126 student places and around 600 participating scientists, the programme for Vienna Children's University 2016 is guaranteed to include something for everyone.

The keynote event "The Miracle of Man" at the Children's University:Medicine will reveal some secrets of medicine and teach children interesting facts about the extraordinary capabilities of the human body.

The Children's University:Science takes children on a journey "Around the World" and also offers classes in nine languages other than German.

 In the Children's University:Technolgy, the young students will learn all about "Energy and Environment" and about energy systems of the future and their impact upon the environment. There are also some courses especially for girls.

The keynote events themed around "Climate and Energy" at Children's University:Natural Resources focus on how energy systems impact upon our climate.

The Children’s University:Veterinary Medicine will provide all kinds of interesting facts about animals, veterinary medicine, animal welfare and healthy feed for animals.

The subjects covered by the Children's University:Polytechnic Campus are equally varied and range from technology, via health and social affairs to public administration.

At the Children's University:Economics children will learn about the exciting world of business and interesting facts about economic, social and ecological situations in our world.

But of course, with so much summertime fun, we must not forget to celebrate: the ceremonial Children's University Graduation will take place on 24 July in the Grand Hall of Vienna University, where proud graduates of Vienna Children's University 2016 will be presented with their degree certificates, accompanied by music and the taking of oaths.
