Wilhelm Auerswald Prize 2017 awarded to MedUni Vienna researchers

The Wilhelm Auerswald Prize was awarded for the 26th time on 20 June 2017. The six best doctoral theses had already been selected from the many submissions and the successful candidates presented them on the evening of the presentation.

Sriram Srivatsa from MedUni Vienna's Institute of Cancer Research was awarded first place and the certificate for the best lecture for his doctoral thesis entitled "Role of EGFR in colitis and colorectal cancer". He impressed the jury with his written paper on the "Role of EGFR in colitis and colorectal cancer" and also with his presentation.

5. Prize:

Nicole Grün (Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, MedUni Graz)
"Treatment of Cardio-Metabolic Disease by Immunological Targeting of Osteopontin"
Ana Montalban-Arques (formerly: Institute of Pathology, MedUni Graz)
"The NKG2D System as Modulator of Host-Microbial Interactions in the Gut"
