(Utrecht, 03 July 2019) Hans-Georg Eichler, clinical pharmacologist at MedUni Vienna and Senior Medical Officer of the European Medicines Agency, received the Utrecht University Award for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Research 2019 from Utrecht University.
The Utrecht University Award for Excellence in Pharmacy is an annual prize consisting of two awards: one (even years) for Excellence in Pharmacy Practice and the other (odd years) for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Research. The awards go to international prize-winners who are not members of the Department of Pharmacology in Utrecht.
This year's prize goes to Hans-Georg Eichler for his superb contribution to drug regulatory sciences. He is Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at MedUni Vienna and, since 2007, has been Senior Medical Officer of the European Medicines Agency based in the Netherlands.
