The Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna is split into the Division of General Otolaryngology and the Division of Phoniatrics and Speech Language Therapy.
Between them, the two divisions treat more than 65,000 in and out-patients every year, using the very latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Areas of particular note are the allergy outpatient clinic, various surgical procedures to improve hearing, the fitting and implantation of hearing aids and also facial plastic surgery and laser surgery for head and neck tumors.
