Research interests

As a PhD student at the Department of Internal Medicine II/Division of Cardiology, I have a scientific background in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cardiac amyloidosis. Due to an always growing interest for cardiovascular imaging and the field of interventional radiology, I have expanded and shifted my research focus towards the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy: As a member of the group of Assoc.Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Martin Funovics, my main scientific focus is in the area of endovascular aortic repair, specifically in the assessment of available stentgrafts, the improvement of procedural aspects during implantation, such as the detection of endoleaks or graft failures, warranting careful follow-up and possibly, reintervention.
