ERASMUS+ Mobility for university staff from abroad
The Medical University of Vienna offers lecturers and (non-)academic staff from universities abroad the opportunity to complete a teaching or training stay at MedUni Vienna.
Teaching stay: personal contact with lecturers at the Medical University of Vienna and an invitation to a teaching stay
Training stay: invitation to a job shadowing, workshop, or other training format at the Medical University of Vienna
Only after receiving an invitation from the host department can incoming staff and lecturers from partner institutions submit their application for Erasmus+ staff mobility to International Affairs for further processing:
- Notification to Medical University of Vienna International Affairs by the hosting department:
The host department informally forwards the following information by email to Medical University of Vienna International Affairs (internationaloffice@meduniwien.ac.at) to initiate the registration of staff mobility:
STT Staff Mobility Acceptance Form (Training) to be signed by the hosting department
STA Staff Mobility Acceptance Form (Teaching) to be signed by the hosting department - Applicants will receive the link to the online application in Mobility-Online, where the Mobility Agreement, confirmed by your home university, must then be uploaded.
- The Mobility Agreement will be signed exclusively by International Affairs after confirmation of its contents by the hosting department.
- The application for Erasmus funding and the financing itself are handled through your home institution. Please contact the International Office at your home institution.
Immunization Record:
Please note that, particularly for staff mobility at clinical departments, a health certificate may be required ["Certificate of Vaccination and Immunity" from MedUni Vienna], or additional confirmations may be necessary depending on the area and the department head's requirements.
No-hands-on policy:
Completion of continuing education with clinical integration is only possible within the framework of a Clinical Fellowship, which involves, among others, the Medical Association.
Participation in Research:
An Erasmus stay for training purposes is generally intended for the individual professional development of the participants. Participation in research projects at MedUni Vienna is therefore only possible via a Clinical Fellowship, which requires additional documents regarding compliance, etc.
