An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist am Zentrum für Public Health / Abteilung für Gesundheitsökonomie mit der Kennzahl: 1741/21, voraussichtlich ab 3. Mai 2021 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 30 Wochenstunden mit einer Assistentin / einem Assistenten (postgraduate) zu besetzen.

Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 2.228,-- brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.

Das Arbeitsverhältnis ist befristet bis 30. Juni 2023.

Anstellungserfordernisse: Abgeschlossenes (Diplom) Studium der Gesundheitsökonomie oder eines artverwandten Faches, Teilnahme am PhD-Programm der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Bereitschaft zur Mitwirkung in Forschung und Lehre. Die fremdenrechtlichen Anstellungserfordernisse bei Nicht-EU-BürgerInnen müssen gewährleistet sein.

Gewünschte Zusatzqualifikationen: Ausgezeichnete IT-Anwenderkenntnisse, fundierte Erfahrung in der Datenanalyse- und Auswertung (Excel, SPSS, Stata oder ähnliches) sowie Erfahrung mit quantitativen Auswertungen und Ökonometrie. Ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift sowie gute Deutschkenntnisse sind Muss-Kriterien. Enthusiasmus, ein hohes Maß an Eigenmotivation, Teamfähigkeit, eine eigenständige Arbeitsweise sowie die Fähigkeit Deadlines einzuhalten. Projekterfahrung im Bereich Gesundheitsökonomie sowie der Nachweis von relevanten Publikationen ist wünschenswert.

                                   Doctoral Researcher in Health Economics
                                  Contract type: Fixed-term until 30 June 2023

The Department of Health Economics (DHE), Center for Public Health, Medical University of Vienna is looking for a doctoral researcher in Health Economics to contribute to the European Personalized Medicine in Schizophrenia (PerMedSchiz) FWF-project. The position is fixed-term until 30 June 2023 and can be filled as of 3 May 2021. Salary and terms of employment are according to the collective contract (Euro 2.228,--/14x per year). The working language of the DHE is English.

Job Description

Relevant work includes conducting literature reviews, epidemiological and health economic data collections, cost and outcome analyses and modelling. The position holder will overlook the day-to-day running of the project, analyze the relevant data, and develop and disseminate the study results including peer-reviewed publications.

Application and Job Requirements

The successful candidate is expected to acquire and apply existing methodological approaches in health economics, contribute to other ongoing research and teaching activities of the DHE, and will be supported in developing own research interests in the field. The position holder will also have the opportunity to register for and conduct doctoral studies in the Doctoral Programme Public Health at the Medical University of Vienna alongside his/her work.

Applicants should have a topic relevant Masters degree, preferably in health economics or a related discipline (e.g. health services research, public health, economics). Equivalent demonstrable training and research experiences may be also considered. They should possess strong data analysis (Excel, SPSS, Stata, SAS, R or similar) and quantitative skills (statistics, econometrics). Applicants should have excellent written and spoken English and at least a working knowledge of German. A record of previous research publications and experience with health economic evaluations is positively valued. Additional requirements include enthusiasm, interest in multidisciplinary research, skill development and team work, and the ability to manage tasks professionally to agreed deadlines.
