An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist am Zentrum für Medical Data Science / Institut für Medizinisches Informationsmanagement mit der Kennzahl: 9244/23, voraussichtlich ab 20. November 2023 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 40 Wochenstunden mit einem:einer Assistent:in (postdoc) zu besetzen.
Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 4.351,-- brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.

Anstellungserfordernisse: Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik und verwandter Fächer bzw. Medizin mit facheinschlägigem Doktorat, Qualifikation in Forschung und Lehre. Die fremdenrechtlichen Anstellungserfordernisse bei Nicht-EU-Bürger:innen müssen gewährleistet sein.
Gewünschte Zusatzqualifikationen: Expertise im Bereich Medizinische Informatik, speziell zu den Themen „Medizinisches Informationsmanagement“, „Datenbanken“, Electronic Health Records“, „Health information exchange“, „Health interoperability“ und „Standards“.

Postdoc Position available in Medical Informatics
at the Center for Medical Data Science of the Medical University of Vienna,

The Institute of Medical Information Management at the Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna) invites applications for a postdoc position (40 hours per week). We seek researchers with a strong background in Medical Informatics, Computer Science or related fields who would like to participate in our research and teaching activities. The intended starting date for the position is November 20th, 2023. The employment relationship is limited for the duration of 6 years with the possibility of conversion to continuing employment.
Information on the department: The department is part of the Center for Medical Data Science at the Medical University of Vienna. It focuses on research and teaching in the areas of documentation, communication, visualization and retrieval of medical information. Cross-institutional electronic health record systems represent a core area of activity.
Required Qualifications: Completed degree in computer science or related fields and medicine respectively, with a relevant doctorate. Strong background in the field of Medical Informatics, ideally in the topics of medical information management, databases, electronic health records, health information exchange, health interoperability and standards. The foreign law employment requirements for non-EU citizens must be satisfied.
Information on salary: The monthly minimum salary for this assignment is currently EUR 4.351,-- gross (14 times a year) and may possibly increase on the basis of the collective agreement regulations through the crediting of job-specific previous experience and other salary components associated with the special features of the workplace.
