Elisabeth Seidl-Mlczoch
Research Group "Pediatric Rhythmology"
Manfred Marx, Julian Heno, Beatrice Kahl
Current projects::
Epidemiology of Inherited Arrhythmogenic Diseases in a pediatric tertiary centre under “Real World” conditions.
Diploma thesis: Genetic mutations in inherited primary arrhythmia syndromes and their clinical presentation
Diploma thesis: Reversible QTc prolongation as a marker for ventricular strain in pediatric valvular pulmonary stenosis treated by balloon valvuloplasty
Research Group “Advanced Techniques in Pediatric Echocardiography”:
Andreas Hanslik, Matthias Beichl, Linda Pummer, Vanessa Vieth
The working group focuses on the application of new echocardiographic techniques, primarily for the assessment of systolic and diastolic ventricular function in routine clinical practice—especially speckle tracking echocardiography and 3D echocardiography. The group conducts clinical studies and supervises diploma theses.
In addition to clinical studies in pediatric cardiology, the working group is also part of the interdisciplinary Echocardiography Working Group of the Comprehensive Center for Pediatrics (CCP), which, in collaboration with the Department of Neonatology and Intensive Care Medicine (represented by Tobias Werther and Katharina Goeral), focuses on echocardiography in teaching and research.
Current projects:
Vieth, Beichl, Eichmüller, Hanslik. Evaluation of Left and Right Ventricular Function during and after Chemotherapy in Pediatric Patients
Pummer, Vieth, Michelitsch, Hanslik. Evaluation of Left Ventricular Myocardial Performance in Children with Left Heart Obstructions and Reversibility after Interventional or Surgical Repair
Lehmkühler, Werther, Goeral, Hansik. Myocardial work in preterms and neonates – normal values and evaluation of left ventricular outflow tract obstructions.
Diplomarbeit: Fritsch, Beichl, Hanslik. Echocardiographic evaluation of right ventricular remodeling in children with tetralogy of Fallot during the first year after corrective surgery using Ventripoint.
Research Group "Childhood heart failure, VAD and heart transplantation"
S. Greil, J. Heno, A. Hanslik, T. Lehmkühler
Conducting clinical studies in the field of heart transplantation (HTX) and participating in international clinical trials in the field of heart failure.
