Research interests
My main research focus are modifications (A to I; m6A; m5C; pseudoU) on the transcriptome. With big data computational pipelines taking informations from modification databases, i want to get deeper insights in the distribution of modification sites in relation to the human genome. With insights like enrichment and depletion in certain genomic partitions, my research group gets informations which support their further analysis.
Techniques, methods & infrastructure
Self created scripts and pipelines for download of modification sites and annotations from different databases over preprocessing to statistical calculation, mostly in Python and Bash.
