(Vienna, 20-02-2023) The Sigma Xi Society has accepted Lilian Konicar of the University Clinic Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at MedUni Vienna.

The Sigma Xi Society, founded at Cornell University (USA), recognises outstanding scientific achievements and promotes cooperation between researchers from different disciplines. To date, more than 200 members of the international society have received a Nobel Prize. "I am honoured to be accepted as a Full Member by this historic society", says Lilian Konicar. Her inclusion in the Sigma Xi Society illustrates the importance of transdisciplinary, multimodal research performance. The ABC BRAIN LAB, led by Konicar, pursues these approaches and enables direct applications in childhood and adolescence to counteract unfavourable courses as early as possible.
