Knowledge and fun during the vacation season: The KinderuniWien program is online

Inter-university focus on climate issues this year

(Vienna, 01-06-2023) KinderuniWien in sight: all children from 7 to 12 years are invited - the only admission requirement: great curiosity! The program of more than 300 courses with a total of 12,700 places is now available on kinderuni.at and invites you to browse and discover. In the next few days, it's time to register, put together the program of your choice and find alternative courses. Then nothing more stands to a registration starting from 12 June in the way! This year's courses run from July 10 to 22.

Wide range of courses for the young and curious from A to Z: From architecture to dentistry, the Medical University of Vienna, the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, the FH Campus Vienna and the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration have put together the program for this summer.

The Children's UniversityVienna 2023 makes "climate fit"
Across universities, there will be a focus on climate issues. To this end, around 40 courses will be offered - at KinderuniMedizin on climate and health, at the other locations on renewable energies, animal rights, glaciers, rivers and much more.

At MedUni Vienna, numerous events invite you to explore this topic, here are a few examples: "Why can my environment make me sick?" (Piero Lercher), "Mentally strong against climate change" (Paul Plener), "Clean water - healthy people" (Regina Sommer), "Blinkers in climate protection" (Lisbeth Weitensfelder),

But also many other medical topics are taught at the KinderUniMedizin, also here are a few examples from the diverse offer: "Where does the stomach ache come from?" (Erich Maier), "How does the environment change the brain?" (Marcus Kunze), "Cell City - What's going on in the cell?" (Isabella Ellinger), "Come on, let's put together a bone puzzle!" (Renate Gruber), "Is kissing healthy?" (Julia Englisch), "Jaws and teeth - a nature reserve" (Johannes Kirchner), "Why is grandpa always so forgetful?" (Benedikt Till) or "The world of viruses" (Eva Geringer/Monika Redlberger-Fritz), and much more!

The next steps: Registration, selection and getting ready
Step 1: The selection! It will not be easy, because basically the 2+5 rule applies: Each student may register for a maximum of 2 workshops and up to 5 seminars and lectures at KinderuniWien. Step 2: On June 12, the registration for the courses starts on kinderuni.at. Step 3 will start soon!
