(Vienna, 28 September 2016) On 1 September 2016, Remi Abubakar Nout, an expert in radiotherapy from Leiden University in the Netherlands started a one-year guest professorship at MedUni Vienna.
For several years now, Nout has been involved as a mentor in numerous scientific projects at the Department of Radiotherapy (e.g. GEC-ESTRO GYN; EMBRACE), primarily in the area of image-guided brachytherapy. This collaboration has given rise to several joint scientific works, produced with colleagues and PhD students, some of which have been published in leading journals. These activities will continue.
Several times a year, Nout will spend a few days at the Department of Radiotherapy to pursue the above-mentioned work with colleagues and working groups. Both universities will benefit from this extended collaboration.
