(Vienna, 05 September 2018) MedUni Vienna has entered into a collaboration agreement with the University of Dental Medicine in Yangon. To this end, the University Clinic of Dentistry Vienna and the University of Dental Medicine in Myanmar signed a "Letter of Agreement on Academic Cooperation" during the 13th IDCMR Congress (International Dental Collaboration of the Mekong River Region) in Yangon (Myanmar).
As part of the event, a diode laser that Austria has donated to the University of Dental Medicine in Yangon was officially commissioned. Andreas Moritz, Head of the University Clinic of Dentistry Vienna, gave the keynote lecture on the subject of laser-assisted hard tissue preparation and ran a hands-on workshop with Christoph Kurzmann for the staff at the clinic in Yangon..
The collaboration will cover scientific, clinical and educational matters.
