(Vienna, 27 December 2019) Wolfgang Bigenzahn, former Head of MedUni Vienna's Division of Speech and Language Therapy, has been awarded the Grand Decoration of Honour in Gold for services to the Austrian Republic.
From 1996 until 2015, Wolfgang Bigenzahn was Head of the Division of Speech and Language Therapy of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at MedUni Vienna/Vienna General Hospital, as well as Deputy Departmental Director. He also taught at the academy for the speech therapy-phoniatrics-audiology service at Vienna General Hospital.
Bigenzahn is an honorary member of the Austrian Society for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Surgery and of the Society for Speech Therapy, Phoniatrics and Pedaudiology. He has also been decorated with the Türck Medal and the Knight's Cross of the Order of Saint Sylvester.
