Markus Müller was appointed chairman of the Data Safety Monitoring Board of WHO Ebola-Consortium VEBCON

VEBCON is an international, WHO coordinated consortium, for the clinical development of an Ebola vaccine.

(Vienna, 26th Oct. 2014) Markus Müller, Vice Rector and Head of the Departement of Clinical Pharmacology at Medical University of Vienna, was appointed chairman of the international Data Safety Monitoring Board of the World Health Organization (WHO) Ebola-Consortium VEBCON.

VEBCON („VSV-Ebola Consortium“) is an international, WHO coordinated consortium, for the clinical development of an Ebola vaccine. Phase I clinical studies will start in four centers in Kenya (Kilifi), Gabun (Lambarene), Switzerland (Geneva) and Germany (Hamburg). Markus Müller was involved in the development of various other international vaccine programs (e.g. Influenza -H5N1, -H1N1, Lyme disease, Alzheimers disease).
