An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist an der Universitätsklinik für Innere Medizin III / Klinische Abteilung für Rheumatologie mit der Kennzahl: 4342/21, voraussichtlich ab 19. Juli 2021 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 40 Wochenstunden mit einer Assistentin / einem Assistenten (postdoc) zu besetzen.
Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 3.945,-- brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.

Anstellungserfordernisse: Abgeschlossenes Studium der (Bio)Statistics, Bioinformatics, (Pharmaco-)Epidemiologie oder verwandter Fächer mit facheinschlägigem Doktorat, Qualifikation in Forschung und Lehre. Available Positions
We are currently looking to expand our team at the Division of Rheumatology at the Medical University of Vienna with a Postdoctoral Biostatistician with experience in applied statistics in longitudinal data sets and Baysian statistics with an interest in the rheumatology research field.
This role is an exciting opportunity to make substantial contributions to clinical and translational academic research and to collaborate with national and international partners. The applicant is expected to be engaged in a variety of research activities, including development of study design and analysis of clinical and translational studies, handling of large scale datasets of heterogeneous, multidimensional data sources, and others. Candidates are encouraged to establish an innovative and well-funded research group that is open interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate should have a background in (Bio)Statistics, Bioinformatics, (Pharmaco-)Epidemiology or related disciplines with a documented experience in handling big data and longitudinal data analyses. Previous research experience in network analyses and baysian statistics are advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a strong motivation to engage in the rheumatology research field, introduce innovative statistical thinking and methods and should have at least on publication as a first author and experience in grant writing. Where required, the appointee may also supervise junior Biostatisticians and consult research assistants, other research staff or postgraduate students.
About the Division of Rheumatology
The Division of Rheumatology at the Medical University of Vienna performs basic, clinical and translational research in the field of rheumatic and musculoskeletal disease. The applied science focuses on determination of causes of inflammatory rheumatic conditions, developing treatment strategies and predicting response by linking data from longitudinal clinical and trial databases with genetic, molecular and biological biomarkers.
