Admission is granted to those who:
- are entitled to independently practice the medical profession as general practitioners, specialists or licensed doctors, or
- have completed at least one year of training as a general practitioner or have already completed one year of training as a specialist, or
- are in training to become a specialist in occupational medicine.
An occupational medicine training completed at the Austrian Academy for Occupational Medicine and Prevention with an examination in accordance with the Ordinance on Occupational Medicine Training for Doctors, as amended, can be credited for the basic part of occupational medicine if the relevant examination was not taken before 2003 and the required equivalence in accordance with § 78 para. 9 UG is given.
A decision can be made on the recognition of other occupational medicine training studies upon application.
