The Center for Medical Data Science explores quantitative and methodological areas of research in the field of medicine and Life Sciences at the Medical University of Vienna. The Center covers a wide spectrum of disciplines, including fundamental sciences, applied biomedical research and scientifically oriented IT services.
In addition to working on scientific problems from the areas of biostatistics, medical informatics, artificial intelligence and complex systems, an important part of its effort is dedicated to joint projects in the medical and Life Sciences areas.
The center represents the subjects of biostatistics and medical informatics in the various degree programs offered by the Medical University of Vienna.
