Die Stammzellspendedatei der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist eine von drei Spender:innendateien in Österreich. Wir koordinieren weltweite Stammzellanfragen und betreuen  dabei Spender:innen aus ganz Österreich.

Im Jahr 1989 gründete Univ. Prof. Dr. Agathe Rosenmayr die Österreichische Knochenmarkspendezentrale am Institut für Blutgruppenserologie der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Wien und begründete somit das Stammzellspender-Register mit Spenderdatei Österreichs.

Am 01. Februar 2015 wurde die Organisation neu strukturiert:

  • Sitz der Stammzellspender Datei der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist die Universitätsklinik für Transfusionsmedizin und Zelltherapie am AKH Wien.
  • Das Stammzellspender-Register ist in der Gesundheit Österreich (GÖG) lokalisiert. Sie stellt das Bindeglied zwischen weltweiter Datenbank und den österreichischen Stammzellspende-Dateien dar.

Ziele und Aufgaben

  • schnellstmöglich den/die passende:n Stammzellspender:in finden 
  • umfassende Betreuung: vor, während und nach der Spende!
  • Ersttypisierung, Stammzell- und Knochenmarkspende sowie Nachbetreuung
  • arbeiten nach den neuesten Standards in klinischer Praxis und medizinischer Forschung
