Entry requirements

Admission requirement

(1) The prerequisite for admission to the university course is proof of
1. a completed Bachelor's degree or another completed degree of at least the same higher education level at a recognized domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution amounting to at least 180 ECTS credits in one of the following disciplines:

  • Human medicine/forensic medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Veterinary medicine
  • Chemistry
  • Biochemistry/Biotechnology
  • Biology/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Microbiology
  • Pharmacy/Pharmacology
  • Nutritional sciences
  • Ecology/Environmental Sciences/Agricultural Sciences
  • Law/Management
  • Engineering
  • Physics
  • Risk assessment

2. several years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the fields mentioned in paragraph 1.

(2) Applicants must provide evidence of the English language proficiency required for the successful completion of their studies at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, either by means of internationally recognized language certificates/diplomas or final certificates (e.g. school-leaving certificate based on instruction in this language, completion of a degree in the language of instruction in question) or as part of a review by the academic course director. Proof may be waived if the language of instruction is the applicant's first language.

(3) Furthermore, computer skills that enable the problem-free use of a teaching and learning platform as well as the use of literature databases are required.

(4) The application for admission must be accompanied by a letter of application and a curriculum vitae.

(5) The academic course director will check the suitability of applicants on the basis of the documents submitted and, if necessary, a personal interview.

(6) Admission is only possible before the start of the university course. The academic course director shall determine the number of participants per university course, taking into account the number of study places available from a pedagogical and organizational point of view and in accordance with the budget plan.

(7) Exceptional cases for admission after the start of the university course can only be approved by the curriculum director following a proposal by the academic course director, provided that the completion of equivalent teaching and learning content can be proven.

(8) In accordance with § 70 para. 1 in conjunction with § 51 para. 2 no. 22 UG, participants must apply for admission to the university course as non-degree students. The Rectorate shall decide on the admission of course participants on the recommendation of the academic course director in accordance with the number of available study places and the qualifications of the applicants.

Admission procedure

(1) All applicants must successfully complete an admission procedure for admission to the university course. The written application documents will be used for this admission procedure and a personal admission interview (either in person or by telephone/video conference, etc.) will be conducted.

  1. The written application must be accompanied by documents in accordance with § 4.
  2. n the personal interview, the applicant's motivation and objectives as well as background knowledge and specializations will be inquired.

(2) The academic course director shall review the submitted documents, conduct a personal interview and prepare a proposal for admission for the Rectorate.
