The Medical University of Vienna's Department of Dentistry is one of the most up-to-date dental departments in Europe. It offers a wide range of top-quality treatments in the fields of dentistry and periodontology, orthodontics, oral surgery, prosthetics, radiology and pediatric dentistry. The dental training unit plays a very special role.
This is where around 70 students are trained every year to become qualified dentists.Each year, the Department treats around 30,000 people, as outpatients or in one of the six specialist clinics. In addition to the students, who work under the constant supervision of experienced senior doctors, the patients at the Department of Dentistry are treated by around 100 doctors. Patient care, research and teaching are the three pillars of the department's philosophy.
