The Josephinum, located at Währinger Str. 25 in Vienna’s 9th district, is easily accessible by both train and airplane due to its central location and excellent public transport connections.

When arriving by train, most international services terminate at Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). From there, visitors can take the underground line U1 to Stephansplatz and change to line U2 in the direction of Schottentor. After getting off at Schottentor, the Josephinum can be reached within a short five-minute walk.

For those arriving by air, Vienna International Airport is located around 20 kilometres from the city centre and offers multiple convenient transport options. The S-Bahn line S7 provides a cost-effective connection to Wien Mitte, where passengers can transfer to the U2 underground line to Schottentor. A faster alternative is the City Airport Train (CAT), which runs non-stop to Wien Mitte in approximately 16 minutes. From there, the same underground connection applies. Additionally, direct Railjet trains connect the airport with Vienna Central Station, from which the Josephinum can be reached as described above.

Overall, the journey from the airport to the Josephinum typically takes between 25 and 40 minutes, depending on the chosen mode of transport. Thanks to Vienna’s efficient and well-integrated public transport system, reaching the destination is straightforward and convenient.
