Research interests

My research interests include medical data modelling, electronic health record architectures, documentation and retrieval of medical data, data integration, secondary use of routinely collected data, management of health information systems, and hospital information systems.

My current research projects focus on population based analysis of routinely collected data, in particular for medication safety.

Techniques, methods & infrastructure

  • Modelling Frameworks (e.g. UML)
  • EHR Standards (e.g. HL7)
  • Population based databases (e.g. Austrian claims data)
  • Retrieval and data analysis tools (e.g. RDA, SAS, R)
