Monika Oberhuber vom Klinischen Institut für Pathologie der MedUni Wien mit Rokitansky-Preis ausgezeichnet ...Alle News – Medizin & Wissenschaft (Wien, 21-09-2020) Für ihre im Topjournal "Molecular Systems Biology“ publizierte Studie "STAT3-dependent analysis reveals PDK4 as independent predictor of recurrence in prostate cancer" wurde Monika Oberhuber nun mit dem Carl von Rokitansky-Preis ausgezeichnet. Mittels bioinformatischer Methoden konnte sie nachweisen, dass die hohe Expression des Gens PDK4 mit einer besseren Prognose bei Prostatakrebs assoziiert ist. Die Publikation entstand am Klinischen Institut für Pathologie der MedUni Wien unter der Leitung von Lukas Kenner im Rahmen eines Projekts des „Center for Biomarker Research in Medicine“ (CBmed GmbH), einem von der Österreichischen Forschungs-Förderungsgesellschaft (FFG) geförderten COMET K1-Zentrum.
