Research interests
Jakob Proemer is a biologist who completed his bachelor’s degree with a major in zoology at the University of Vienna, focusing on vertebrate anatomy and histology. He is currently doing his Master’s degree in zoology at the University of Vienna, where he is also a teaching assistant. At the beginning of his current degree he spent half a year at the University of Sydney where he received special training in wildlife health. In the group of Univ. Prof. Dr. Pavone-Gyöngyösi, he supports the lab’s translational research, focused on cardiac regeneration therapy and device/drug testing with his broad education, that forms the basis for multiple tasks in large animal experiments.
