Research interests

My working group at present mainly focuses on valvular heart disease and trans-catheter valve interventions. We are investigating new predictors of outcome following TAVR as well as edge-to-edge mitral and tricuspid valve repair. We furthermore use multimodality imaging and particularly cardiac magnetic resonance imaging to non-invasively study alterations of the myocardial structure caused by pathological conditions including valvular heart disease, heart failure with an emphasis on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFPEF), and cardiac amyloidosis.
