Research interests

Sandra is a nutrition and exercise scientist with a PhD in endocrinology and metabolism. For her PhD project, she focused on a community intervention aimed at improving the nutritional status and physical activity levels of non-institutionalized older adults with frailty. At the same time, her clinical focus shifted to neuro-rehabilitation, and she began working as an exercise therapist specializing in training and gait analysis at the Neurological Rehabilitation Centre "Rosenhügel" in Vienna. In 2021, she also completed her "Habilitation" in Public Health, concentrating on physical activity in older adults. Sandra is passionate about creating opportunities and environments that promote healthy living through optimal nutrition and physical activity.
