Research interests
The main focus of the group is on nociception. To be more precise, the research addresses mechanisms involved in the excitation of sensory afferent neurons. Given my medical background, I find it important to contribute to issues of clinical relevance.
Techniques, methods & infrastructure
Methodology ranges from molecular and cell biology, over cellular techniques including electrophysiology and fluorescent imaging to human psychophysiology on the other end.
