An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist an der Universitätsklinik für Urologie mit der Kennzahl: 9580/21, voraussichtlich ab 10. Jänner 2021 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 40 Wochenstunden mit einem Junior Group Leader (Assistentin / Assistent - postdoc) zu besetzen.

Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 3.945,-- brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.

Das Arbeitsverhältnis endet nach Ablauf von 6 Jahren.

Anstellungserfordernisse: Abgeschlossenes Doktorats-/PhD-Studium mit Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der (Krebs-)Biologie, Qualifikation in Forschung und Lehre. Die fremdenrechtlichen Anstellungserfordernisse bei Nicht-EU-BürgerInnen müssen gewährleistet sein.

Gewünschte Zusatzqualifikationen: Applicants must provide a record of scientific excellence through high-profile publications, international track record, and acquisition of competitive funding/fellowships. The successful candidates should have experience both in wet-lab research with patient-derived tumor models in vitro and in vivo, state-of-the-art genetic engineering technologies, genomic screening approaches as well as bioinformatic analyses of big data sets including single-cell sequencing methodologies. Experience in multi-disciplinary research collaboration would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong and exciting research program, to catalyze the translation of urological cancer biology concepts towards clinical developments and contribute to common activities of the research focus. The new research group will benefit from the attractive interdisciplinary environment and the close cooperation with the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Institute of Cancer Research and the various other clinical departments of the General Hospital.

                       Junior Group Leader position in the field of “Oncological Urology”

The Department of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna is besides one of the most successful clinical urology departments in Austria also a vibrant translational research institution that is embedded in the Comprehensive Cancer Center Vienna.

The Department of Urology is planning to strengthen the translational research focus on urological cancer and is seeking for a tenure-track Junior Group Leader position in the area of Urological Oncology to join our exciting research program in basic, translational and clinical research.

Salary and terms of employment are according to the collective contract (Euro 3.945,--/14x per year) and may increase on the basis of the collective bargaining agreement due to the recognition of previous work experience as well as other remuneration components associated with the the job.

We are looking for outstanding and highly motivated individuals with a PhD and/or MD degree and a successfully completed post-doctoral training in a relevant area of cancer biology.
