ASTOX Symposium 2019

The symposium will comprise sessions on Microbiome, Exposomics, (Eco)toxicological aspects on human and veterinary medicinal products, Risk Assessment of Chemical Mixtures and Perfluorinated alkylated substances.

Prof. Jacob van Klaveren (Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, RIVM) “The EU project EuroMix, a test strategy and tools to inform future mixture risk assessment”.

Prof. Christer Hogstrand (European Food Safety Authority, EFSA) “The EFSA Guidance on risk assessment for human, managed animals, and ecosystems of combined exposure to multiple chemicals”.

Dr. Karin Gromann (Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection BMASGK) "ChemCock - Introduction to the Austrian project on chemical mixtures.

Mag. Dr. Katharina Vejdovsky, MScTox ERT (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety, AGES) "ChemCock - The approach to assess chemical mixtures of contaminants".

Dipl. Ing. Elke Rauscher-Gabernig MScTox ERT (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety, AGES): ChemCock - Some examples for cumulative risk assessment of chemical mixtures of contaminants.

Prof. Dimosthenis Sarigiannis (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki AUTH) „Current state of play on the exposome research both in Europe and globally”

  • 6.30 pm public lecture in German by Prof. Reiter (Gerichtsmedizin Wien):

  • End of scientific sessions around 7.30 pm
  • Get-together with bread and wine

Friday, April 26th

  • Start at 9.00 am
  • End scientific sessions second day 1.00 pm
  • Starting at 2.00 p.m. Annual ASTOX membership assembly (invitation will follow)
