Dr. Taskén will talk about how tumors evade the immune system through a number of immunoregulatory networks and the involvement of regulatory T cells. Furthermore, he will describe results from an ongoing program in the Taskén laboratory to take forward small molecule inhibitors of regulatory T cells and their potential application as future immunotherapy.
