Research interests
My main research focus is to understand the relationship between preterm birth and proper development of higher cognitive functions, such as attention. Higher cognitive functions are of crucial importance for academic success and quality of life in preterm infants. The research is designed to unravel the relationship between neuronal network characteristics, medical history, environmental factors and higher cognitive functions performance. The findings of this research may pave the way for patient-tailored interventions in preterm infants within the CCP and be the first step towards personalized medicine in this field.
